Health application provides a simple way to indicate a unit status on Health Map with a traffic-light color: Red, Amber or Green (RAG). 
In general, GREEN means that unit health goes well, AMBER indicates state with known and manageable risks, and RED alerts about occurred issues or high probability of heavy loss or failure. Each color corresponds to a certain range of Health Index (see Health Status Dimension).

And the Health Map shows the color of a status set for each unit shown on the map.

When you change the value of any Health Map control (StatusPerspective, HierarchyZoom, Highlights, or Show worst status), the Health map displays relevant units and the Counter recalculates its values.

If Health Status Dimensions are configured for a unit, the radial status chart is shown below the Portfolio Health. For more details see Health Status Dimensions.

How to Use Health Map

Health map controls help to get more detailed and specific information on the Health Map.
There are four controls:

  • StatusPerspective

  • Org level (Hierarchyzoom)

  • Highlights

  • Worst status ON/OFF

Using these controls, you can get various detailed views of your portfolio. The set of available satuses perspectives and org levels is a subject of application configuration.

Perspective

Choose Status Perspective by opening the Status Perspective menu and selecting the respective item. The Health Map represents units' status or sub-status color, in accordance with the selected perspective.

Zoom)

Adjusting Org hierarchy level by dragging the hierarchy Zoom control, you can set the required portfolio range for Health Map, from the highest through the lowest level of Org hierarchy.

View Highlights

You can highlight units with the pre-defined events for a selected Status Perspective. There are several options: All Units, New RED, Chronic AMBER, Chronic RED, and Forecasted RED (Forecasted RED is available for Overall status perspective only).
Pausing on any option , you can view the corresponding tooltip with information on affected units, status duration, and reporter.

View Worst Status

If Show Worst Status is ON, the system displays the status of a unit as the worst status across all its sub-units.

Note

If Show Worst Status is ON, the highlighting functionality is unavailable (All units are always shown).
Depending on the application configuration, the Show Worst Status widget may not be installed (Shown in Fig. 7).

The events are highlighted on the two-week principle:

  • New RED event - means that a unit became red during the past two weeks.

  • New AMBER event - means that a unit became amber during over the past two weeks.

  • Chronic RED event - means that a unit is red for more than two weeks.

  • Chronic AMBER event - means that a unit is amber for more than two weeks.

Filter Units

The Show Filters setting allows you to filter units by status, name, or other options to have a more specific view of your portfolio.

If you pause on a unit in Health Map, the system displays tooltip containing detailed information about the unit. If Health Status Dimensions are configured for a unit, the unit tooltip displays radial status chart. For more details , see Health Status Dimensions.

If you select a different perspective than the overall, hovering over a unit will display the summary status of the selected dimension.

Perspective

You can observe unit status from the different statuses. You perspectives. By choosing perspective, you can choose any status that is configured on the units below, and the map changes its coloration. The examples later demonstrate difference between Overall and Team Performance statusperspective.

Zoom Level
