RAG Indication of Status

Health application provides a simple way to indicate a unit status on Health Map with a traffic-light color: Red, Amber or Green (RAG). 
In general, GREEN means that unit health goes well, AMBER indicates state with known and manageable risks, and RED alerts about occurred issues or high probability of heavy loss or failure. Each color corresponds to a certain range of Health Index (see Health Status Dimension).

And the Health Map shows the color of a status set for each unit shown on the map.

Organization View

Health Map displays organization view of all company units once the root unit from the Org Hierarchy is selected:.

InfoWhen you change the value of any Health Map control (PerspectiveStatus, ZoomHierarchy, Highlights), the Health map displays relevant units and the Counter recalculates its values. 

Counters under the Health Map show the number of units of the lower level of the hierarchy chosen (streams on the example in Fig. 3)

Unit View

Health Map displays a unit view once a single unit from the Org Hierarchy is selected. Health Map is a part of a Portfolio Health widget. Health Map shows all the child units of the selected units. In the example below, there are no nested units as all the child units are of the same hierarchy level.

How to Use Health Map

Health map controls help to get more detailed and specific information on the Health Map.
There are four controls:

  • PerspectiveStatus

  • Org level (zoom)

  • Highlights

Using these controls, you can get various detailed views of your portfolio. The set of available perspectives and org levels is a subject of application configuration.

Status Perspective

You can color Health Map by any status color available in the Health Status Dimensions of your organization. If you want to see, for example, Schedule status of the units shown on the Health Map, you can do this by opening the Perspective Status menu and selecting the respective itemstatus.

The Health Map represents will then show units' status or sub- status color, in accordance with the selected status perspective.

Choose Org Level (Zoom)

Adjusting Org hierarchy level by dragging the Zoom controlselecting the units to be shown on Health Map with the checkboxes, you can set the required portfolio range for Health Map, from the highest through the lowest level of Org hierarchy.

You can highlight units with the pre-defined events for a selected Perspective status. There are several options: All Units, New RED, Chronic AMBER, Chronic RED, and Forecasted RED (Forecasted RED is available for Overall perspective status only).
Pausing on any option you can view the corresponding tooltip with information on affected units, status duration, and reporter.

View Unit Tooltip

If you pause on a unit in Health Map, while the Status chosen is Overall, the system displays tooltip containing detailed information about the unit. If Health Status Dimensions are configured for a unit, the unit tooltip displays radial status chart. For more details see Health Status Dimensions.
