General description
“Manual metrics” are supposed to be a managers' ability to update and check in important for the project/projects metrics values that impact portfolio in the sense of delivery obligations (SLA, KPI etc.)
Currently, you can find “Manual metrics” widget in “Portfolio Health” section for Organization/GBU/Customer/Program.
While for Project/Stream you'll see the widget under the Health Status Dimensions.
Use cases (MVP)
Add metric
In order to add metrics to your unit, you should find the unit inside the widget or use global hierarchy.
Clicking “+” icon allows you to open the table, where you can see 3 options to add a metric to the unit:
“add metric” from the placeholder for a bar chart, where the aggregated metric statuses will be displayed
“Add Metrics” button inside the empty table
“Add Metric” inside the “dots” menu on the right top
Clicking any of these buttons opens a pop-up with the catalog and community metrics that allows to save metrics you chose to the unit.
Catalog metric - a default metric created by the system
Community metric - a metric created by another user
Create metric
If there is no metric you need in the list, you can simply create a new one clicking “add a new metric” button on the bottom left. There is also a button “Create My Metric” displayed, if no matching items were found using the search.
Using one of the options triggers a new pop-up “Add My Metric” that, after being filled in, adds the metric to the catalog.
Here we should fill in all mandatory information regarding metric parameters:

Description is an optional field, that should be not more than 200 symbols
