Managerial Roles

TEAMS module recognizes the following roles:

Unit Manager (Key Staff)

We provide Unit Managers access to the profiles of employees, assigned to the nodes where they are Unit Managers at (and all lower).

This role gives access to information about employees assigned to the unit on the Resource plan and secured perspectives (Seniority, Performance Evaluation, Attrition Mitigation, Productivity). It allows viewing of sensitive information in profiles including performance evaluation marks, attrition risks, role criticality and etc.

Unit Manager has a possibility to:

  • View/Manage workloads on the Resource Plan 

  • View Bench on the Resource Plan

  • Create/Manage positions on the Resource Plan

  • Edit general information in profiles

  • Issue Profile Manager role

  • Add/Update Performance, Critical Role on Unit, Risk of leaving, Motivation for employee

  • Manage Succession

  • Add/Edit Action Items

Profile Manager

We provide Profile Manager access to every single profile where user is explicitly set as Profile Manager. This role grants full access to employee profiles including all sensitive information such as performance evaluation marks, attrition risks, role criticality and etc.

Admin

Can be assigned in Settings - Admins tab on Account unit level by another Admin.

Admin role provides access to all profiles on the account.

Admin has a possibility to:

  • Add/Manage Admins, Skills, Roles, Action Item Tags and Custom Fields for the account

  • View/Manage workloads on the Resource Plan 

  • View Bench on the Resource Plan

  • Create/Manage positions on the Resource Plan

  • Edit general information in profiles

  • Issue Profile Manager role

  • Add/Edit Action Items

Responsible for Succession

Responsible for Succession is a role introduced as a part of the Succession Management process. We provide Responsible for Succession limited access to the Role Holder’s profile where they is explicitly set as a Responsible for Succession.

Responsible for Succession is granted access only to the following areas of Personal Employee Profile:

  • Dashboard tab →Successors for the Role widget and detailed view. This role gets full access to the Succession section and it's functionalities. We also provide Responsible for Succession ability to view Succession Plans of successors in the Role Holder's profile.

  • Action Items tab

  • General Info tab (view only, editing forbidden)

Mentor 

Mentor is another role introduced as a part of the Succession Management process. Can be assigned by any manager with full access to the Role Holder's profile. We provide Mentor limited access to the Successor’s profile where s/he is explicitly set as a Mentor.

Mentor is granted access only to the following areas of Personal Employee Profile:

  • Growth tab → Is successor for widget and detailed view. Mentor is able to see only those succession activities, where he is assigned as a Mentor. For those activities Mentor is able to create, view and manage Succession Plan.

  • Action Items tab

  • General Info tab (view only, editing forbidden)

Employee

Self-review

We create an employee profile for each user who has an assigned position on the project. User with Employee role has access to own profile except for secured data.  An employee does not have access to such secured data as their Performance evaluation status and feedback provided by management, Critical Role on the Project, Project Risk of Leaving and Motivation. 

No permissions to view profiles of other Employees

As mentioned above the Employee has Basic access to profiles of other Employees which means they can't open a profile and will be notified to contact a specific Unit Manager in order to request Advanced access to the sensitive data.
