This section describes how to link a target with other targets to see the entire process of achieving the planned goals.
You can link targets in two Planner entities:

  • Create View

  • Full View (Target’s sidebar)

  • Gantt chart

1. Link via Create or Full View 

The information sidebar of any target contains two tables intended for linking the target with other targets.

Includes 

  1. Open the sidebar of a new or existing target.

  2. In the “Includes” table click Add.

  3. Choose a target type.

  4. In the Title field, start typing the name of an existing target or enter a new target’s name

  5. Select a target (an existing one) or click “Create New” to create a new child target

Dependencies

  1. Open the sidebar of a new or existing target.

  2. In the “Time Dependencies” table click Add.

  3. In the Title field, start typing the name of a required target, and then select the name from the system prompt

2. Link via Gantt Chart

This section describes how to link targets in the Gantt chart by means of dragging a connector between targets.

To link a target:

  1. Pause on a target. The system displays points on both ends of the target.

  2. Click the point and drag the connector to a required target to link.

  3. Drop the connector on the required target. The Add Connection sidebar opens.

  4. Specify the type of link: Hard link or Soft link.

  5. If you selected Hard link, specify the type of dependency, as one of the following:

    • Finish to start

    • Start to finish

    • Finish to finish

    • Start to start

  6. Click Save.
