Snapshots
This chapter describes how to handle snapshots in the Planner application.
Snapshot provides a visual comparison between an initial state of the timeline (baseline) and a modified state.
When applied, the baseline looks like dark grey lines below the targets of the modified timeline.
1. Create a Snapshot
To create a new snapshot:
On the Planner Action Bar, click “Take a Snapshot” button → “Create New Snapshot” →
The Snapshot Name dialogue box opens.Enter the snapshot name, and then click Add. The system creates a snapshot of the current state of the timeline.
2. Apply a Snapshot
To apply a snapshot:
On the Planner Action Bar, click “Take a Snapshot” button → the dialogue box opens.
In the dialogue box, select the check box of the snapshot you want to apply → The system applies the selected snapshot. See Fig. 1.
3. Delete a Snapshot
To delete a snapshot:
On the Planner Action Bar, click “Take a Snapshot” button → The dialogue box opens.
Click Delete button (“backet”) → The confirmation dialogue opens.
Click Delete button to confirm, that you want to delete the snapshot → The system deletes the selected snapshot.
4. Share a Snapshot
To copy a link to a snapshot:
On the Planner Action Bar, click “Take a Snapshot” button → The dialogue box opens.
Click Share Link button → The system saves the snapshot link to the clipboard.
