Purpose

Number of Issues in Backlog (out of Sprints) but Already Completed shows the amount of issues at the moment which are already completed in the backlog but not assigned to any sprint.

How metric helps

Number of Issues in Backlog (out of Sprints) but Already Completed helps to point out a contribution lost from sprint velocity. It is expected that on the project this health indicator value is equal to zero.

Only valid items are counted here i.e. such ones like "Duplicate", "Rejected", "Cannot reproduce" or similar are not taken into consideration.

How metric works - Heading 1

Chart overview - Heading 2

Chart shows <metric name> in <unit of measure> - Axis Y by <time periods> - Axis X.

<specify all possible metric views according to Metric Catalog>

<visual with the border, e.g:

Image Added

On hover over a column a hint appears with the following information: <list info given in the hint>

Chart legend shows the following: <info shown in the legend>, e.g.

  • Chart legend shows the latest values for the metric in story points and items.
  • If there is a trend value: Chart legend shows the latest metric value and the difference between this value and the previous one.

By click on a column a pop up appears with the following information got from <data source type>: <list column names shown in the drill down>

Calculation - Heading 2

<Formula>,

where

<describe formula elements>

E.g.

Logged bugs = Nlog_end - Nlog_start

where

Nlog_end - a number of logged bugs at the iteration end

Nlog_start - a number of logged bugs at the iteration start

<If a metric is measured in several UoM then it must be presented as follows:>

Units of Measure
Iteration Type
Week Month
UoM 1<calculation><calculation>
UoM 2<calculation><calculation>
.........
UoM N<calculation><calculation>

RAG thresholds: <describe rad-amber-green thresholds> e.g.   Red - metric value > 15; Amber - 10 < metric value  ≤ 15; Green - metric value ≤ 10.

Write n/a if thresholds are not applied.

Data Source - Heading 1

Data for the metric can be collected from a <data source type (task tracking system/defect tracking system/CI/CD system/etc. (data source names)>.
