This section describes how to fully inspect the target information. There are three tables in the dialog box of a target, and each table contains connected targets.

.To inspect the connected targets information:

  • In the Includes table, click a target.
    The system opens information dialog box of the included target.

  • In the Contributes To table, click a target.
    The system opens information dialog box of the target that contributes to the main target.

  • In the Dependencies table, click a target.
    The system opens information dialog box of the dependent target.

2.1 Jump to a Target

To jump to a target:

  1. In the Target pane, pause on a target, and then click arrow on the right.

To jump to a linked target from Gantt chart:

  1. On the Gantt chart, click the respective link icon. The system jumps to the linked remote target.

3. Edit a Target

Once you opened information dialog box of a target, you can edit target information. 

.To edit a target:

  1. In the target dialog box, select and then edit any parameter. 

  2. Optional. Link the target to other targets.

3.1 Move target

In the Target pane you can move single or multiple targets in any direction by means of the target grip or Move Target menu. The Move Target menu acts as follows:

Moves the targets one level up. Each target moves with all nested targets.

To move a single target by the Move Target menu:

  1. Pause on a target. The system displays the (ellipsis) menu on the right of the target name.

  2. Click the (ellipsis) menu, and then select the required option.

To move a single target by the target grip:

  1. Pause on a target. The system displays the ⋮⋮ (target grip) on the left of the target name.

  2. Using the target grip, drag the target to a new location.

To move multiple targets by the Move Targets toolbar:

  1. Pause on a target. The system displays checkbox on the left of the target name.

  2. Using the checkboxes, select multiple targets.

  3. On the table toolbar, click the required Move Targets button. See Move Target Menu: Commands earlier.

3.2 Change Start/End Date of a Target

To change start/end date:

  1. Pause on a target. The system displays the ⋮⋮ (target grip) on the both ends of the target line.

  2. Drag the target grips.

4. Delete a Target

4.1 Delete a Target in Timeline View

While in Timeline view, you can delete a target either in the Targets pane, or in the Gantt chart.

4.1.1 Target Dialog Box

To delete a target in the Target dialog box:

  1. Click a required target in the Targets pane. The target information dialog box opens.

  2. In the upper right, click (ellipsis), and then click Delete. The confirmation dialog opens.

  3. Confirm Delete.

To delete a target in the Gantt chart:

  1. Click a required target line, and then click Delete. The confirmation dialog opens.

  2. Confirm Delete.

4.2 Delete a Target in List View

To delete a target in the List view:

  1. In the right or the required target row, click (ellipsis), and then click Delete. The confirmation dialog opens.

  2. Confirm Delete.

Please, pay attention, that:

  1. Only progress of Key Result affects a progress of Objective.

  2. Progress of Initiatives or other work items doesn’t affect progress of Objective or Key Result yet. It will be fixed in the nearest future

Type of a target's result, how it will be measured (in items or in percent)

Progress

To which percent a target is ready

Owner

A leader, accountable for a target

Roles

Roles, participating in a target’s activities and affecting its progress

Unit

A directory, where a target is located

A defined period, when a target takes place

Labels, marks, helping to easily search a target and filter the view

Wider explanation of a target with its action items and other details

People whose work affect a progress of a target

People whose expertise is necessary to complete a target

Jump to a Target via Timeline

  1. In the Target Table, hover a target, and then click the arrow on the right (Fig. 1)

  2. You will jump to a target in the Gantt Chart (Fig. 2)
