Concept of Action Item

This section contains general information about action item availability and respective system notifications. 

You can create action items in the following Health widgets:

  • All manual Sub-Status cards. See Unit Summary.

If you have an action item created for yourself or assigned to you, the Health application sends you notification emails in the following cases:

  • Assignment. As soon as somebody assigns you an action item, the system notifies you.
  • Due Date. Two business days before the due date of an action item in the Opened state.
  • Overdue Action Item. If at the due date time an action item is not in the Done state, the system notifies you.


UTC Time Settings for Due Date

The system uses UTC time independently of your time zone, or time zone of the assignment creator. An action item becomes overdue in 00:01 UTC time of the due-date day.


How to Use Action Items

Create Action Item

This section describes how to create a check-boxed action item with assignee and date in the Overall pane.

The same procedure applies to sub-status cards and Risk Strategy Description.


To create a check-boxed action item:

  1. Click the Overall pane to call the formatting toolbox.

    To create an action item, you can also type [], and then press the Space key.

  2. In the toolbox, click the check box icon. A check box appears on the Overall pane.
  3. Type name of the action item.
  4. Using the system prompt, select the assignee.
  5. Using the system calendar prompt, select the date. Otherwise the system applies default due date in 30 days from the date of creation.
  6. Click Save.

Overall Status and Sub-Status Cards

To edit an action items:

  1. Select an action item. The system displays the rich text editor formatting bar.
  2. Modify text and formatting of the action item.
  3. Click Save.

Risk Treatment Strategy

To edit or select an action item:

  1. On the the Risks tab, select the required risk. The system displays menu as three vertical dots on the right. 
  2. Click the menu, and select Edit. The system opens the Edit Risk Details dialog box.
  3. Modify the required risk.
  4. Click Save.

Delete Action Item

This section describes how to delete an action item in Overall status, Sub-Status cards, and in Risk Treatment Strategy description.

Overall Status and Sub-Status Cards

To delete an action item:

  1. Select an action item, and click the Delete key on the keyboard.
  2. Click Save.

Risk Treatment Strategy

To delete an action item:

  1. On the the Risks tab, select the required risk. The system displays menu as three vertical dots on the right. 
  2. Click the menu, and select Edit. The system opens the Edit Risk Details dialog box. See Edit Action Item.
  3. Select the required action item, and click the Delete key on the keyboard.
  4. Click Save.
