The dashboard replication functionality allows you to create your personal dashboard template with preferred delivery metrics and apply it to single or multiple projects and streams, where you have the Key Staff permissions.

Create dashboard template

This section describes how to introduce your preferred PERF dashboard as a dashboard template for a further population of your projects and streams.

Your preferred dashboard is a set of sections, metrics, and permissions that you consider to be best fitted with your purposes.

Prerequisites

As a creator of dashboard template for a required unit, ensure that the following conditions are met:

  1. You have the Key Staff permissions.

  2. The target project or stream exists on the PERF platform.

Save dashboard as a template

  1. Select the required unit.

  2. Click Perf, and then open the Delivery Metrics tab.

  3. On the Delivery Metrics tab, on the upper right, click Settings → Save as Template.
The Save as Template dialog box opens.

  4. On the dialog box, specify Template Name and Template Description (optional).

  5. Click Save. The system saves your dashboard as a template registered on your name.

Metrics are saved with default settings. If you rename a metric or change it setting (for example, How many last values to display), the saved template will not have these changes.

Manage dashboard templates

Managing dashboard templates includes two operations:

  • View templates

  • Delete template

You can delete only those templates that you created yourself.

View templates

  1. Select the required unit.

  2. Click Perf, and then open the Delivery Metrics tab.

  3. On the Delivery Metrics tab, on the upper right, click Settings → Manage Templates.
The Manage Templates dialog box opens.

  4. View your templates, and then click Close.

Delete template

  1. Select the required unit.

  2. Click Perf, and then open the Delivery Metrics tab.

  3. On the Delivery Metrics tab, on the upper right, click Settings → Manage Templates.
The Manage Templates dialog box opens.

  4. In the template list, choose the template to be deleted, and click the respective basket icon.
The deletion confirmation dialog box opens.

  5. On the dialog box, click Delete. The system deletes the selected dashboard template.

  6. Click Close.

Deleting a dashboard template doesn't affect those units this template was applied to. All the units retain their dashboard configuration.

Apply dashboard template

The procedure of applying a dashboard template to multiple nodes includes three steps:

  1. Select template

  2. Select nodes

  3. Apply the template to the selected nodes

You can apply templates only to projects or streams where you have Key Staff permissions.
