Introduce or enhance product and project vision
Be aware of business strategy and KPIs, participate or organize formal meetings to have business context shared by client on frequent basis depending on product and project specificity
Increase team motivation, improve level of team awareness in project goal, common mission and vision. Organize meetings with client/business to share business vision and KPIs, notify the team about current status and future plans from delivery perspective, keep priorities and make sure team knows and follows them, set sprint goal, introduce alignment/integration calls with all team members engaged
Make sure that the team is aware of sprint goal and project goal, the same is for product vision and strategy to have business context awareness
Ensure to have roadmap with milestones in place, the same is for clear and defined product goal based on which sprint goals can be set
Make sure to keep roadmap with deliverables and milestones up to date, there should be project and product goal set, claimed and followed - backlog should be managed based on these artifacts
Make process clear, i.e. how new requests including ad-hoc ones are communicated /delivered to development team, what phases are in demand intake flow, what are the requirements (DoR) for idea to be taken into sprint backlog
Make communication to the client, team and other stakeholders about time leakage from sprint, sprint rules of working on committed scope or applying change management in case of any updates/urgent requests. Establish practice when all incoming requests of not planned but urgent scope during active sprint go to Scrum Master as the first instance of review, evaluation and further steps undertaking
Make Live demonstrations of working softwareĀ at the end of iteration and/or release or just ad-hoc when appropriate.
Share/discuss retrospective notes from the team after each major milestone passed.Ā When appropriate, share notes of retrospective after sprint/release completion to Customer stakeholders (PMs, POs, SMs)
