Top Priority Defects Age Alert

Purpose

Top Priority Defects Age Alert shows the dynamics of fixed top-priority defects lifetime over the last 6 months.

How metric helps

Top Priority Defects Age Alert helps to monitor the efficiency of the quality assurance process in a project. The more a defect stays unfixed the less assurance in the product stability can be provided for an end-user.

How metric works

Chart overview

Calculation

Top Priority Defects Age Alert is a time interval between a date of a defect creation and a date of a defect elimination (if a defect is been re-opened the latest closure date is considered).

High priority defect is a defect of a priority defined in Project Settings > Task Tracking system (Jira/TFS) > Scope Managemend (Defect Work Bucket) and Quality management (Top Priority Defect) .

Historical changes of priorities or types are not taken into account for this metric, i.e. only those types and priorities are captured which exist at the moment of the metric calculation.
