This section explains how to start using the Planner application.

1. Start Planner

To start the Planner application:

  1. On the main menu of Delivery Central, click Planner.

2. Open a Unit

The Planner application provides four methods to find and open a required unit, by means of:

  • Hierarchy

  • My Units

  • Global Filter

  • Global Search

3. Set View

There are two views in Planner application:

  • Timeline

  • List.

3.1 Timeline View

3.1.1 Show / Hide Elements of View

There are three controls to change view of Timeline:

Name

Description

Show / Hide Hierarchy

Shows or hides EPAM hierarchy

Expand / Collapse 

Expands / collapses the Targets pane

Full Screen

Expands the application window to full screen

3.1.2 Set Timeline Scale

There three controls to view hidden or small-scale elements on Timeline:

Name

Description

Today

Timeline jumps to the present day.

Zoom

Changes the Timeline scale according to your selection: Day, Week, Month, Quarter, Year.

– / +

Changes the Timeline scale to show hidden parts.

Note. You can also use scrollbar on the bottom of the Timeline pane.

3.1.3 Manage Columns

This section describes how to manage columns in the Targets pane. There are three columns you can show or hide: Status, Progress, and Dates.

To show/hide columns:

  1. In the upper right, click the Setting (gear) icon. The Column Manager dialog box opens.

  2. To show/hide a column, select or clear the respective checkbox.

  3. Click Close.

3.2 List view

3.2.1 Show / Hide Elements of View

There are two controls to change view of Timeline:

Description

Show / Hide Hierarchy

Shows or hides EPAM hierarchy

Full Screen

Expands the application window to full screen

List view pane that displays targets, represents for each parent target both child targets and all linked targets. Thus List view representation differs from hierarchical view demonstrating only parent-child nodes.
