This chapter describes how to handle snapshots in the Planner application.

Snapshot provides a visual comparison between an initial state of the timeline (baseline), and a modified state.
When applied, the baseline looks like dark gray lines below the targets of the modified timeline.

1. Create a Snapshot

To create a new snapshot:

  1. On the Planner toolbar, click Snapshot → Create New Snapshot. The Snapshot Name dialog box opens.

  2. Enter the snapshot name, and then click Add. The system creates snapshot of the current state of the timeline.

2. Apply a Snapshot

To apply a snapshot:

  1. On the Planner toolbar, click Snapshot. The Create New Snapshot dialog box opens.

  2. In the dialog box, select check box of the snapshot to be applied. The system applies the selected snapshot. See Fig. 1 earlier.

3. Delete a Snapshot

To delete a snapshot:

  1. On the Planner toolbar, click Snapshot. The Create New Snapshot dialog box opens.

  2. Click the Delete icon. The confirmation dialog opens.

  3. Click Delete. The system deletes the selected snapshot.

4. Share a Snapshot

To copy a link of a snapshot:

  1. On the Planner toolbar, click Snapshot. The Create New Snapshot dialog box opens.

  2. Click the Link icon. The system saves the snapshot link to clipboard.
