  1. To apply Global Search of Targets click image-20241010-183716.png “Search targets” button in the Action bar → The System opens “Search targets” pop-over (Fig. 1).

  2. The search works by title & code globally: in the current unit, nested units and higher-level units.

  3. Enter 3 symbols in the field to start the search, → The System checks whether the entered chars appear in any of the target titles or codes in the current, nested & higher-level units.

  4. While searching, the System:

    1. Doesn't consider any applied Users' filters for this autocomplete.

    2. Doesn't check: Targets from inactive units or deleted targets.

After searching:

  1. If there are matches, then:

    1. The System displays 6 targets in search results before the scroll, other targets are hidden under the scroll.

    2. The System checks: if there are more, then 10 targets to show on the "Search targets" pop-over, the System displays them in portions (per 10), if User scrolled to the end of "Search targets" pop-over.

    3. If there are 10 matched targets or less, then the System displays them on the "Search targets" pop-over.

    4. Results are sorted on the pop-over by matched rank, descending. Firstly, the System displays results with the highest number of matches.

    5. Results have the defined format (Fig. 2):

      1. Full path to units

      2. Target's icon. When User hovers the icon, the System shows the target's type name

      3. Target code

      5. Owner with User's avatar and the asterisk icon

      6. Contributors. The System displays 2 people and hides others under the "+" sign. By hovering the person, the System displays the User's First Name & Last Name as a tooltip.
