Top Priority vs Total Defects
Purpose
Top Priority vs Total Defects shows a ratio of top-priority open defects vs all open defects.
How metric helps
Top Priority vs Total Defects helps to reveal an issue in a timely defects resolution. If a ratio is big (30 % or more) it indicates a significant application instability or a problem with prioritization.

Chart overview
Chart shows a ratio of top priority defects - number in the center. Target value is above the chart.

Top Priority vs Total Defects = (Top priority defects / Total defects) * 100%,
where
Top priority defects - number of open defects of a top priority;
Total defects - number of all open defects.
RAG thresholds: Red - metric value > 10; Green - metric value = < 10.
Assumptions
1 Defect is an item of a type set in Project Configuration > Data Sources > Task Tracking System> Scope Management > Definition of Work Buckets > Defects.
2 Top priority defect is a defect of a priority defined in Project Settings > Data Sources > Task Tracking System > Quality management.
3 Open defect is a defect not in a "Done" status. "Done" is a status from "Done" bucket in Project Settings>Data Sources>Task Tracking System>Workflows.
Data Source
Data for the metric can be collected from a task tracking system (Jira, TFS, Rally, etc.).
