TEAMS - Closed Tasks Distribution Metric
This metric is built on top of data source configuration and data loaded by PERF. See instruction on how to configure PERF Data Source available here: Integrations. Please pay special attention to the "Definition of Work Buckets" section at the "Scope Management" (e.g. for JIRA) because rules defined here will directly influence the report described in this article.
Purpose
Closed Tasks Distribution Metric is displayed on the Productivity tab of Personal Employee profile in Teams DC.
It shows an amount of work as a natural number of tickets (by type) accomplished by a person over time. There are 4 types of tickets: Features, Debts, Defects, Unclassified. Unclassified type includes tickets that are not categorized into Features, Debts and Defects types. Classification is carried out on the PERF side.
Who can see the metric: all managerial roles with full access to the profile (see details here) and employees themselves.
Note: data about closed tasks in Personal Employee profile is displayed only from the profile start date. However, data about closed tasks on the Productivity perspective reflects aggregated team progress and is not limited by start dates of particular profiles.
How metric works
Closed Tasks Distribution Metric is calculated for Projects \ Streams where PERF integration with Task Management Tool (JIRA, Rally, TFS, etc.) is configured. Data calculated depends on PERF data loads that are scheduled on a nightly basis.
You can collapse and expand CTD Metric:
The metric is collapsed by default if there is no data to display: Data Source is not configured (see details here), no Custom Fields (see details here), Closed Tasks=0 across the whole selected period.
Navigation
