TEAMS - Action Items

The Action Items perspective is applicable all time if you have Action Items:

  • assigned to you

  • created by you

  • (for managers) all Action Items from all profiles of your business units to whom you have access 

Counter near the perspective name displays the number of Action Items currently assigned to you in 'To Do' and 'In Progress' statuses.

Action Items table

Action Items table (Assigned to Me and Created by Me tabs) shows the list of all Action Items that are connected with the current USER without depending on a specific unit (Account, Project, Program, Stream and etc.). 

The All in current unit tab shows all Action Items created/assigned/shared with you (as one of the employee's managers) in this particular unit (and all its sub-units).

It consists of the following columns:

Due date

Displays date, when Action Item will be expired. By default, the table is sorted by Deadline (closest ones on top).

Displays Action Item status with the possibility to change status.

Displays Action Item tags

Assignee

Displays the name of an employee who is responsible for working with an Action Item. 

Creator

Displays the name of an employee who created an Action Item.

Link to profile

Displays link to a profile with whom Action Item is connected. 

By clicking on this column user can navigate to Personal Employee Profile. For better understanding the relation with the profile, see this note.

Unit

Displays the project or the stream from the profile (link to profile)

Three dots

Users can manage Action Items by context menu.

The table supports pagination, column sorting and filtering. 

By default, the system shows only filtered Action Items in 'To Do' and 'In Progress' statuses.

Sub-tabs are used for quick filtering of Action Items:

Creator, Assignee and Link to Profile relations

Column Settings

The following columns from the list above are required: Action, Due Date, Status, and Category.

The remaining columns from the list are optional: Description, Status comment, Tags, Assignee, Creator, Link to profile, Unit. The default state of the optional columns (checked/unchecked) depends on the quick filter selected:

You can add to/remove from the table all optional columns via Columns Settings. We provide the ability to drag-and-drop all columns except for the 'Action' in the 'Columns Settings' dropdown which affects columns' order in the Action Items table as well.

Action Item details in the sidebar

Clicking on the Action Item's Title (cell in the Action column) will open this Action Item in the slide-out sidebar in the View mode: 

Following the 'Linked to' link in the View mode or 'Link to profile' link in the table view will open Personal Employee Profile (where the Action Item is created) -> Action Items tab with this Action Item in the second slide-out sidebar in the View mode:

Managing Action Items

You can use a three dots menu for managing a specific Action Item (note: options availability depends on visibility permissions and Action Item's status).

Selecting the 'Edit' option in the three dots menu will open this Action Item in the slide-out sidebar in the Edit mode:

You can view the history of the Action Item by selecting the 'History' option in the three dots menu:

Action Item can also be managed directly from the View mode by clicking on the buttons in the header area (buttons are displayed only if available at the moment):

Export data to Excel on the Action Items Perspective

You can export data to the Excel report on the Action Items Perspective.

Export is available from the Account level and lower.

Please pay attention, that presets and filters affect export to Excel. Only Action Items currently displayed on the screen will be included in the report.
